BASIC CASUALTY CARE and EVACUATION for LAW ENFORCEMENT

Course Description: The information and tactics provided in this program are valuable tools for the Police Officer from any size department from any division. Police Officers are faced with critical medical situations everyday. Many times the injuries or wounds are to themselves, fellow officers, or innocent by standers and many times require immediate action in order to save themselves or others lives. This program focuses on basic field trauma care, self-aid, and evacuating the wounded and injured from a hostile environment. The day is broken down into 3 blocks; Care, Evacuation Tactics, and Combination Scenarios. This is a must have training program that will save lives.

Instructor(s): Lead Instructor Joel Yonkman brings nearly 20 years of diverse experience to this presentation. He is co-owner of Emergency Response & Global Security Solutions and serves as the Tactical Meds Specialist and Team Medic for CRIPT Academy Close Protection Operations. Joel holds multiple Instructor Certifications in the Tactical Medicine field and is a Certified Tactical Medic. His understanding of Real World Operations VS. what is taught in today’s classrooms is must have knowledge for all professionals who serve in harm’s way. CRIPT Academy’s Tactics Instructors will be present to conduct the Evacuation Tactics.

Tactical Support for Executive/Close Protection-Law Enforcements Role –

Course Description – Protective Services are common and necessary in today’s dangerous world. Clients, VIPs, and Government personnel routinely travel with Protective Details and rely upon local Law Enforcement within their areas of travel and operations to assist in a number of tasks. This 3-day program will provide information to the student on basic Executive/Close Protection operations with a focus on support operations usually tasked to Law Enforcement. Topics to be covered include mounted / dismounted escorts, shadowing details, advancing and securing venues, actions on contact, motorcade operations and support, hostile evacuation, and much more. Live fire drills simulate real world scenarios. This is an ideal course for all Law Enforcement personnel, SWAT, and other Special Units tasked with support of Protection Details or transporting high-risk prisoners.

Time: 0830hrs to 1630hrs (3 days)

LOW LIGHT-NO LIGHT TACTICS

Course Description: This 1 day (12 HOUR) course is designed to teach the student safe and effective Low Light/No Light Tactics for situations encountered by Patrol Officers on a routine basis. Included in the course is a Live Fire training block under Low Light / No Light conditions designed to familiarize the Officer with the differences and challenges of “shoot” situations encountered under twilight & darkness situations…the time of day when most Officer involved shootings occur. The class schedule includes 3 separate 4 hour training blocks so that the use of twilight and darkness for range drills may be used. Class times are calendar dependent. Our Instructors will continuously incorporate their actual real world experiences, the importance of professional service, effective tactics, and the need for continuous training and teamwork building exercises.

SHOTS FIRED! OFFICER SURVIVAL

Course Description: This dynamic 2 day presentation contains valuable tactics and information for all areas and divisions of Law Enforcement. Primary focus of this program is on proper mindset and effective gun fighting tactics as it relates to everyday tasks law enforcement personnel face. A great emphasis is placed on Officer Safety tactics to help the Officer avoid this deadly situation and how to survive when it does happen. The full spectrum of common Officer Safety tactics and mindset will be incorporated throughout the 2 days of training. CRIPT Academy will accomplish the desired training goals through minimum lecture and maximum practical application drills including repetitive dry drills, force on force scenarios specific to “Officer Safety & Shooting Incidents”, and Live Fire drills specific to “Officer Safety & Shooting Incidents”. Our Instructors will continuously incorporate their actual real world experiences, the importance of professionalism, effective tactics, and the need for continuous training and teamwork building exercises. The Instructors will present this program in a direct, no nonsense, and learning friendly environment.

Law Enforcement Sniper 

Course Description: This four day course is designed to teach marksmanship and observation skills to Officers who are in a role to support tactical teams. We will cover deployment and employment of Sniper Operators, conduct training operations, learn defensive, information gathering, observation, over watch, concealment, and entry operations. We will also touch on  National Incident Management System and Snipers. 

Students will conduct live fire drills from ranges out to 200yds. This will include firing from modified positions and known and unknown ranges. Moving targets and multiple targets will be incorporated in the course. 

Time: 0800 to 1700 (4 days)  can be modified at request

SMALL UNIT TACTICS FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT

Course Description: The information and tactics provided in this program are valuable tools for the Patrol Officer from any size department. Many dynamic and dangerous situations faced by Officers today require a speedy, effective, and sound response. The scenarios covered in our program will prepare the Officer to face these situations with the proper tactics and confidence to effectively resolve a number of situations. The techniques taught in this program can be adapted to a number of tactical situations to help keep Officers and civilians SAFE. Topics to be covered include proper mindset & preparation, actions on contact, approaches & withdrawals, vehicle assault, high-risk prisoner transport, and officer down rescue. Our Instructors will also incorporate a number of live fire drills that directly correlate to the situations covered.

Course Description: This dynamic (1 or 2 day) presentation contains valuable tactics and information for all personnel who employ long guns in their duties. Primary focus of this program is on proper mindset and effective gun fighting tactics as it relates to everyday tasks law enforcement personnel face. A great emphasis is placed on Officer Safety tactics to help the Officer avoid fatal mistakes and survive when critical incidents happen. The full spectrum of long gun tactics and effective mindset will be incorporated throughout the program. This is not a BASIC rifle course. Attendees should have a level of expertise in basic operation and function of their specific weapon system prior to attending. Our Instructors will continuously incorporate their actual real world experiences, the importance of professionalism, effective tactics, and the need for continuous training and teamwork building exercises.

IMI High Risk Dignitary Protection

Theory: 30 hours

Main Subjects:

1. General introduction to security.

2. The Adversary - types and modus operandi.

3. General security - answers and methods; general and specific for VIP security.

4. Israeli Concept of VIP security.

5. Security of installations used by the VIP (offices, home, etc).

6. Securing the VIP and his family - while walking, escorted by a vehicle, while traveling, in sports, during public events, in hotels, in airport ; identification of suspects and the "body language", advance-activities, basic explosives; procedures and regulations.

Tactical Firearms Training: 20 hours

a. Stages of operational combat shooting – Israeli concept – training with pistols,

Sub-machine guns, rifles, shotgun, and adversary’s weapons.

b. Combining and implementing combat shooting with the VIP security concept.

c. The cost of ammunition and weapons are included in tuition; do not bring your own! Krav Maga – Israeli Martial Arts: 16 hours (including integration exercises during the course Krav Maga is a method of self-defense that combines the elements of several martial arts styles and provides the combat fighter (the agent) with the ability to operate in a variety of fast changing, close-quarter combat situations without using weapons; Krav Maga is used in street/field combat in all conditions and situations. This system has been adopted by the special elite units of the Israeli Defense Forces, including the anti-terror units, as well as in the Israeli police force.

Operational Driving: 20 hours

a. Operating the vehicle as an offensive & defensive weapon.

b. This section of the course will provide the combat fighter with the basic ability to control & operate the vehicle in routine and emergency situations, improve his technical driving ability in a variety of road/traffic circumstances and greatly expand his security driving skills.

Tactical Exercises: 15 hours

a. Formation Walking – single agent, a team, in open areas, in crowded locations, into/out of buildings, using vehicles, in semi-darkness, etc.

b. Exercises based on an attack against the VIP and the security response of rescue & combat. "Dry" exercises as well as live shooting, in combined vehicle operations, etc.

c. Simulation "dual" exercises using "paint-ball" weapons in real/routine life activities of the VIP, based on the client's needs. To avoid injuries, the students will be well protected by individual safety equipment.

d. Combat in a building - single agent, a team; "dual" simulation exercises in buildings, using paint-ball weapons.

Surprise Drills: 15 hours

The instructors will evaluate and test the students’ ability to implement the issues of the entire course – combat and tactical VIP security – in these live shooting exercises.

Course Administration

1. All transportation during the course will be on a chartered bus or rental cars.

2. The student will stay in a Kibbutz guest house, or equivalent, convenient to the training site. Three meals and two snacks will be served every day. Two students in each air conditioned room. On the weekend, students will be hosted in a three-star hotel in Tel-Aviv.

3. The students will receive the following equipment:

a. Two pairs of Academy trousers

b. Two Academy Shirts

c. Academy sweatshirt (in winter time)

d. A student’s case containing stationary

e. Laundry services in the guest house.

4. Students will be covered by medical and personal accident insurance including care in a hospital near the Academy.

5. Travel details:

a. The students will arrive in Israel at their own time and convenience on Saturday, May 14th, 2011. Typical cab fare to Grand Beach Hotel is about $40 US. Sharing cabs is customary but there will be an additional charge. Currency exchange stations are available at the airport.

b. On Sunday, May 15th, the Academy's Escort will meet the students at the hotel in Tel-Aviv and transport them to the Academy. Pick-up time is 08:00am.

c. Students will stay at the Kibbutz until Friday morning, and will be transferred to a three-star hotel in Tel Aviv (included in tuition), Full Board (FB), where they will stay until Sunday morning.

d. The Academy's Escort will again pick the Students up on Sunday, May 22nd 2011, to start the second week of the course, at 08:00am.

e. Students will again stay at the Kibbutz until Friday morning (May 27th, 2011), and will be sent to a three-star hotel in Tel Aviv, FB, where they will stay until Saturday noon. The tuition includes this hotel stay and Saturday breakfast. Students are then free to arrange for transportation to the airport.

6. At the end of the course, the students will receive a course certificate from the Academy and a group photograph with the instructors.
